Kenneth H. Fake, 89, of Reading, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Earl E. Fake Sr. and Ruth H. (Hoffman) Fake. He attended Pennside Schools, graduated from Reading High in 1950, and studied at the Reading Business Institute. Kenneth worked at many well-known local businesses including, General Battery, Gilbert Associates, and retired in 1996 as a Buyer for the V.F. Corporation.
Kenneth played tennis in school and continued to play throughout his life on his own clay court at his home. He enjoyed following the stock market and reading about the U.S. Civil War. Kenneth loved to travel, in addition to many states here in the U.S. he and his friend Carol have visited Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, Germany, and the British Isles. He also had a deep love for animals.
Kenneth is survived by his brother, Barry H. (Sue) Fake of Virginia, several nieces and nephews, and long-time friend, Carol Kerstetter. He is preceded in death by his brother, Earl E. Fake, Jr.
Per Kenneth’s request there will be no services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Kenneth’s final resting place will be at Laureldale Cemetery.
