Mildred Schmehl

Mildred E. Schmehl (Benner), 101, of Reading passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Reading Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Warren E. Schmehl, who passed away in 1953.

She was a graduate of Reading High School and McCann Business School. During her life, she was employed for The Berks County Courthouse in the assessment office and lastly for AAA in the managed membership department.

Mildred loved reading, knitting and sewing. She had an interest in theater and frequently went on trips to New York City to see Broadway shows.

Mildred is survived by her daughters, Christie L. Thomas, of Reading; Deborah A. Lynch, of Reading; 3 granddaughters, Charlotte, of West Reading; Kirstin, of San Antonio, Texas; Susan of New Jersey; 4 great grandson’s ; and 4 great-great grandsons.

In addition to her husband Warren, she was predeceased by her son David Schmehl; daughter Tina Cavalucci; and granddaughter Karen Thomas.
