Mary is a Secretary at Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home. She was born in the Dominican Republic. Her fluency in English and Spanish allows us to better serve the local community. She has an AAS from Borough of Manhattan Community College in NYC. Mary worked in the twin towers for several years then owned her own business in Newark, NJ. She moved to Reading in 2011 and has been with us since. Mary and her husband Roberto have 2 children.
Licensed Funeral Director
Carolina is a licensed Funeral Director. She graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 2012. She went on to attend Northampton Community College, where she received her Associates Degree in Funeral Service Education in 2015.
Fredrick "Fred" Lenich
Fred is a native of Reading, a graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School and Wyomissing Ply Tech. Fred is married, has 4 children, 4 grandchildren, and lives in Exeter Township. Prior to his retirement from Doehler-Jarvis he spent the last 15 years of his career as maintenance supervisor.
David J. Burawski
Licensed Funeral Director, Pre-Arrangement Director
David lives in Shillington. David graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Economics. He spent more than a decade selling life insurance to families. His interests are sports, travel and history. David and his wife, Niki, have two children.

Marissa graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 2012 and continued her education at Northampton Community College, where she received her Associates Degree in Funeral Services in 2018. Marissa has a fiancé, Jon and enjoys outdoor activities, watching sports, and traveling.
Dellise graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Dellise obtained her license as a Certified Public Accountant in 2009. She worked in public accounting within New Jersey and Pennsylvania for 5 years before starting her own accounting services business. She is now the Controller at Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, Inc, responsible for all of the organization’s finances.
